Home routers, shared apartment Wi-Fi, co-working spaces, and dozens of IoT devices on those same networks are now part of your attack surface. 4Remote gives you continuous visibility and risk assessment across every remote network your workforce connects through, without installing anything on the router.
VPNs protect traffic in transit. EDR protects the endpoint. SASE controls access. None of them tell you anything about the network the endpoint is sitting on. If an employee's home router is running unpatched firmware, or if a family member's infected laptop is on the same VLAN as the corporate machine, your existing stack will not know and will not raise a flag.

The 4Remote scanner installed on the corporate endpoint maps the network it connects to, every time it connects. You get a live inventory of routers, IoT, shared devices, and services across every home and remote network your workforce touches. No router access required. No employee action required.
| Device | Type | Firmware | Risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| RT-AX88U | Router | 3.0.0.4 | Critical |
| Hikvision DS-2CD | IP Camera | V5.6.0 | High |
| Synology DS920+ | NAS | DSM 7.1 | High |
| Samsung QLED 4K | Smart TV | T-HKMFDEUC | Medium |
| HP LaserJet Pro | Printer | FW 002.2246 | Medium |
| MacBook Pro | Laptop | macOS 14.3 | OK |
4Remote identifies router make, model, and firmware version on every remote network, then cross-references known CVEs and end-of-life status. You see exactly which employees are connecting through routers with active, exploitable vulnerabilities, and you get a prioritized list to act on.
The scanner detects exposed services on the remote network, flags devices with dangerous default configurations, and identifies segmentation failures where the corporate endpoint shares a broadcast domain with consumer IoT. This is the class of finding that made the LastPass breach possible, surfaced before it is used against you.
| Device | Port | Service | Risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| Synology NAS | 445 | SMB / CIFS | Critical |
| Hikvision Cam | 8000 | RTSP stream | Critical |
| HP Printer | 9100 | JetDirect | High |
| RT-AX88U | 23 | Telnet | High |
| Plex Media Srv | 32400 | HTTP | Medium |
For the employee, 4Remote delivers plain-language guidance on how to update their router firmware, change default credentials, or isolate risky devices. For IT, it delivers an enforceable view of which remote networks meet your security standard. You enforce a consistent baseline without having to remote into anyone's home.
Router CVEs, default credentials, and exposed IoT surfaced and remediated before an attacker finds them.
A continuous, timestamped record of remote network posture across your workforce, ready for audit or renewal.
When an endpoint is compromised, you already know what else was on the network it was sitting on.
Visibility is delivered through the corporate endpoint. You do not need to ask employees to secure their own homes.
